I get this issue with Xplane but only if I'm using WI-FI when using SD on my iPad. I don't know what the cause is but it's as if the connection keeps dropping so I gave up using it on the iPad. I have a three monitor PC setup so I now use the desktop version of SD on one of my monitors and everything runs great due to the fact that my PC has an ethernet cable to my router.
